The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum (gardnermuseum.org) in Boston is a preeminent cultural venue for landscape. It often hosts world class events relating to landscape. If you are in the neighborhood , you might like to know that Tiny Taxonomy opens today. TT  highlights the delicate beauty of mountain wildflowers and alpine perennials. The plants, displayed in reflective cylinders, will be on display til September 2.

  1. Tiny Taxonomies was previously one of several interesting and innovative gardens at the International Garden Festival at Metis, Quebec. TT highlights the wonders of the forest in a beautifully inventive way that fit its rural setting. I wish I could see it in its new venue, to see how it makes the transition to an urban site. I think it will be even more impressive.
