  1. The peonies are standing up so nicely and the color on that clematis is so rich. I’m curious what method you use to stake the peonies. I find that no matter what I do, stakes and twine around the perimeter, metal hoops, the star method, they still flop over. I like individually staking each one but it can be tedious.


    1. I do not stake my peonies…I let nature take its course. However, that means that after heavy rain, the peonies bend. Pictured here is Moonstone, a very sturdy peony, even after the rain.


  2. More fabulous photographs. I see there is a peony named “Moonstone” and I wonder who is in charge on naming new varieties, and how they got to be in charge? Maybe there is one named “Fred” but I doubt it!
